The differences between Chinese characters & English words:
1/ The only totally accurate way to count Chinese characters, is to count the actual characters (marked in Microsoft word as "Asian characters");
2/ Translating 100 Chinese characters into English only need 60 to 70 English words;
3/ Translating 100 English words into Chinese, it may require 145 to 165 Chinese characters.
